Ren Erwin Brown (Ren) quietly and silently left his earthly body and was wrapped in the arms of
his Heavenly Father as his brother, Ron; niece, Berkley and his mom stood by his side holding
his hands and praying that God heal his body and rescue his soul from the unwanted illnesses
that had engulfed his body and separated him from the life he loved so much on April 19, 2024.
Ren began life on February 12, 1969, in Irving Community Hospital as he quickly greeted his
mom and the world early in the morning. His parents are Mary Anne Phillips and the late Ronald
Brown. His parents dedicated his life and soul to God baptizing him as an infant at Bedford
Methodist Church. Ren expressed his belief in God through prayer and reading his bible. As a
gifted child who loved consuming knowledge that he happily enjoyed sharing with so many,
whether it be religious, historical, technical, medical, or just everyday info that was helpful or
meaningful as well as assisting those who needed his kindness in words, or actually finding
ways to financially aid those he loved and cared for so much. As a child, throughout elementary
school and his high school years at Trinity High School, Euless, TX, he physically engaged in
various sports; enjoyed family and friend gatherings/celebrations and then as a spectator or
referee. Ren received his undergraduate degree in Psychology in 1992 while attending The
University of Texas, Austin and his masters’ degree from Dallas Baptist University in Marketing
Management in 2002. Ren received recognition for his dedicated commitment to his
employers from M&M Mars, Pfizer and Glasgow Kline Pharmaceuticals, UPS, and later various
school districts in his community. In his free time he became a UIL official and refereed football
and basketball for T*SO which enriched his life.
He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; father, Ronald Brown and
step-father, Roger Phillips and uncle Rudy Brown. Ren leaves behind to cherish his memory his
`brother Ron Brown of Haslet and mother Mary Anne Rawlins Phillips, Euless, as well as loved
nieces, cousins, aunts/uncles, many dearly loved friends - Eun and his little sweet schnauzer,
Rylie who was his little baby girl. Rylie will reside with Ren’s mom and visit Ren’s resting place
in Pottsboro,TX, Georgetown Cemetery alongside his grandparents Rawlins family plot.
Ren’s memorial celebration of life will be on Friday, April 26, 2024 at 2:00 P.M., in the Forest
Ridge Funeral Home Memorial Park Chapel, 8525 Mid Cities Blvd., NRH, TX 76182, with
Rev.Mark Moore officiating. Burial, with graveside service, will be Saturday, April 27, 2024 at
1:00 P.M.in the Georgetown Cemetery, 539 Cemetery Road, Pottsboro, TX 75076, with Mr.
Paschal officiating.
