Obituary for Charla Hall
Charla Kaye Hall peacefully passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2017 in a North Richland Hills hospital after a lengthy battle with illness.
She was born on November 17, 1943 in Fort Worth, tx. Daughter to the late Charlie Claude Kirk, and Winonaleah kirk, she lived most of her childhood in City of Riverside and graduated from Amon Carter Riverside High School.
She shortly after graduation, met the love of her life in 1964, and his name was Kenneth Hall. They married in 1969 and stayed married for 47 years until her death. No love could ever be as strong as theirs. They loved each other dearly. During their marriage, they had two wonderful children, Deidra and Damon. Charla always made sure they didn't want for anything.
Charla worked for General Dynamics for eight years until she was laid off due to absence from work because of illness. Charla dearly loved her job and the detailed nature of being an illustrator of technical manuals for the air force airplanes. She was a perfectionist at heart and took exceptional pride in her work. She made some wonderful friends and loved them dearly. She carried on that pride in coaching her children through the years in order to guide them into making the smartest and best decisions to be the best that they could be no matter what.
We call her affectionately "little momma" because of her short height of only 4' 11" with a golden smile and warm heart to go along with it. Her main objective throughout her life was to live life to the fullest she could, and that her health would allow and love her family even more. She would do whatever it took to put a smile on someone's face she thought needed it even if she herself was not feeling well.
In 2004, Charla and Kenneth became members of Diamond Oaks Worship Center where she met and became friends with some of the best people we ever met. We thank god for them. Charla was active in the church and performed in plays, in the DOTS program, and also in the nursery where she loved to be with the babies.
